The Berlin Career College at Berlin University of the Arts has offered three continuing education master's programs for many years: Sound Studies and Sonic Arts, Music Therapy, and our Leadership in Digital Innovation program. The Berlin University of the Arts is currently undergoing a process of strategic realignment, in which its continuing education programs are being structurally reorganized. This development goes hand in hand with changes in the legal and organizational framework. In particular, the adaptation of university structures to the amended Berlin Higher Education Act necessitates a reorganization of continuing education. Against this background, all existing continuing education master's programs are being phased out.
Our Master's program in Leadership in Digital Innovation will enroll students for the last time in the summer semester of 2026. The Sound Studies and Sonic Arts and Music Therapy programs will no longer accept new students with immediate effect. For all currently enrolled students, the UdK will ensure, in accordance with the law, that they can complete their studies within a reasonable period of time. Parallel to this phase-out, the UdK Berlin is developing a new continuing education strategy. The aim is to offer continuing education in new formats in the future. The subject areas of our program will play an important role in this development.
