In the Masters degree course of study Cultural Journalism, prospective journalists gain firsthand experience within a media and culture environment. In an age of constantly changing communication structures, they can also develop perspectives, in close proximity to artistic changes, for new ways of presenting cultural issues in the medias. Students are pursued throughout their studies by artistic creative processes in all disciplines. Practice orientation is delivered by instructors from printed and electronic media. Practical training in the cultural editorial departments of broadcasting stations and newspapers or in the press offices of renowned cultural establishments is integrated into the two-year postgraduate course of study which is subject to tuition fees. It provides, in addition, experience in everyday editorial life and the prospect of building up a sound knowhow as well as a sustainable network.
