Artist Training

ARTIST TRAINING is a consulting and further education program at the Berlin University of the Arts for artists at risk. The aims are to network in the cultural and creative industries as well as in the UdK Berlin, to qualify for strategic positioning in the respective artistic field and to provide advice on further professional development. Since 2016, a total of 54 basic and in-depth courses have offered information and contacts to over 800 participants from the following sectors Music, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Film and, initially, Cultural Journalism. 2020 - 21 Educational films, workshops, excursions and consultations on basic topics were offered at three other locations (Babelsberg, Hamburg, Hanover). Parallel to this, series of events and podcasts on institutional transformation processes are being produced.

Artist Training and Common Ground @Academic Freedom Week 2025 at Humboldt University Berlin: Promoting At Risk Researchers Agency in Times of Societal Polarization in Germany 31 March 17-18 pm. Programm is here.

Artist Training  Diversity strategy at the UdK Berlin. The current internal challenges can be found in the documentation of the udk2030 Future Day "Diskursraum: Diversität" and in the "Thesis paper Migrant Society".

The Artist Training Lab on the topic "How to create a safer space I-III" is a continuation of the series of events on transformation processes since September 2020, focusing on the development of tools for a diversity-sensitive UdK Berlin. Reflection on the three workshops took place below in interviews of participants.
