The NIPKOW PROGRAMM is a unique fellowship program designed for international film and media professionals to develop and refine projects in Berlin through an "à-la-carte" curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs and aspirations. In addition to one-to-one mentoring, fellows attend bespoke training seminars on various aspects of packaging, promotion, sales and new technologies. The emphasis of the program is on project development, with the ultimate aim of initiating international co-productions and promoting their worldwide distribution.

Bio: Petra Weisenburger
Petra has been the Managing Director of the NIPKOW PROGRAMM since 2013. She has worked as author, director and producer, directing several documentary films in coproduction with France (LA SEPT), Germany (WDR, BR, SWF) and Portugal (RTP). She also has experience as dramaturge at the Ulm Theatre and is the author of several articles on art and film. In 2006 she established the production company Weisenburger Film in order to produce her highly regarded documentary portrait "Ich will da sein - Jenny Gröllmann" which premiered at the Max Ophüls Festival in 2008.

The DAAD project Artist Training DIGITAL BASICS is a qualification program at the UdK Berlin Career College for exiled artists*. From August 2020 to December 2021, learning videos on basic topics of self-employment in Germany will be produced and imparted to professional exiled artists* of all sectors by means of in-depth workshops, consultations, practical modules and excursions. The teaching goals of the continuing education programs are networking in the local cultural and creative industries, strategic positioning in the respective artistic orientation and establishing oneself in the job market.
