Artist Training Berlin – Course Program 2024
DESIGN: 28 to 31 October 2024 “Draw for a living - The power of hand drawn images and stories in times of AI” by Yorgos Konstantinou & Eva Hilhorst
A 4-day workshop with a focus on graphic harvesting, graphic journalism and cartoons.
Program:
Monday October 28 – We use our drawing skills to get to know each other in a playful and interactive way, using the language of drawing.
In the following days we will explore the scope and opportunities of this language in three different professional fields:
Tuesday October 29 – Cartoon: A single drawing conveys a simple message, loud and clear or arouses the imagination of the viewer, as visual poetry.
Wednesday October 30 – Graphic journalism: Share your research in a multi-layered way: personal stories, documentary drawing and visualizations.
Thursday October 31 – Graphic Harvesting: A professional skill in which listening and drawing happen simultaneously. This is an emerging profession; organizations and companies nowadays are hiring artists to visualize the content of meetings and conferences.
During these three days we will share knowledge, experience and imagination, investigating these fields of profession. We want to enable a safe environment where everyone has their creative space and where expression, dialogue and exchange are the tools for learning.
